Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
operate a feeder breaker on at least two occasions, including performing at least two of the following operations:sequencing operations to set tramming arrangementsrelocatingaligning and levelling relative to the belt reconnecting services.During the above, the candidate must:locate and apply required documentation, policies and procedures and confirm work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for conducting feeder breaker operations, including:reading, interpreting, communicating and applying technical informationidentifying, addressing and reporting environmental issues, potential hazards and risks applying equipment and manual handling techniquesselecting and using relevant tools and equipmentidentifying work requirementsapplying diagnostic and fault finding techniquesmaintaining equipment recordsapplying cable care and safetywork with others to conduct feeder breaker operations in a way that meets required outcomes, including:organising work activities to meet task requirementscommunicating clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructionscomplying with reporting requirements and procedures.
